what does a factory reset do to your game?
nothing I just gotta restart on a bunch of art and music. should have uploaded it to a drive.
Attack mechanics are actually good to me even though it’s not obvious to know that there are attack mechanics and no instruction about the key. The text of NPCs does not stand out against text background or even look the same, make it hard to read and there’s no key to skip to the next dialogue paragraph between player and NPCs. Overall, this game has promising, as long as you don’t give up on it.
yeah were still working on that. Thank you for you feed back, I’m sure you would love the final game, when its finished.
Reworking a bunch of code, a alpha of the game should be done in a month. The story changed a lot from the first idea, but I’m sure the new version is more interesting.(which I’m going to share tomorrow)
Noooo Sigma vanished again
nah im just been busy with school, im stuck in artists block.
Yeah, I’m gonna cancel the game. The reason why I am having so much trouble coming up with ideas, for the game is because Irl i am a very silly goofy person, And trying to make a serious game is very hard for me. And I am better at making cartoony Stylized characters, I am will make a game with the same concept but its gonna be more cartoony and have comedy in it.
did someone call for me?
This is the problem for me with my game too, the original story for it was too goofy
I have a few tips for you. First, write down your main game story. This would give you more clues for events that happen after that so you can develop game direction and construction of characters better, even gameplay if you really understand what you’re doing. Second, depends on your art style and style of the game you want it to be, you can combine both of them to create uniqueness in your game. The best example for a second tip is Crying Pony, characters are cartoony but still exude gloom, darkness and fear. Third, since Flowlab is the web engine only for pixel games, I recommend learning pixel arts first, then practice until you feel fine with your pixel art skill. You could learn Youtubers who draw pixel art, such as AdamCYounis, Brandon James Greer and Apox Fox. They’re very good at pixel art and quite a lot of experience of video games (except Brandon, I’m not sure if he has experience about making video games), you can ask them at the comment of their video.
