Thank you for being on the journey so far, you helped get me ideas to make my game better! Remember, you can suggest your update suggestions (which will make this game way better).
Wow! I didn’t quite realize this game has been up for so long! It took 27 days to make this game that is still updating! This is one of my longest games yet! Are any of you looking forward to new stuff?
Guys, if you don’t like my game (you probably don’t because you’re not responding to any of my fourms), you should really tell me how to make it better. Just like a ‘famous’ coder (me) once said; “A big game starts out from a small game.”
It’s probably not that, usually the forums don’t have a lot of activity like it used to. I don’t get many people replying on my stuff, but when they do, it’s mostly because I’ve been around a while, so I know most of the users on here.
When playing your game, I noticed it’s a decent start, but I’m also very much confused on what’s going on or what the game is exactly about.
I don’t know if there is a set goal, but it would be neat to have a sort of tutorial or an intro level explaining the purpose of the game and what your objective it. I didn’t even realize you had to spam destructive attacks and destroy stuff until I had to search for it.
The art style is very inconsistent, you have decent UI, but the level design is probably the reason you have a headache warning in the description. I would recommend making the art similar scale, and maybe slowing down the enemies and vehicles. The game feels very sped up for no reason. If it’s a destruction sandbox style game, I would make the game give the player more options, such as being able to destroy the ground to an extent, enemies, vehicles, etc., instead of just the background buildings.
I also feel the weapons or attacks are a bit broken and need a cooldown of some sort. Being able to senselessly spam fire everything is a bit overrated and doesn’t offer any sort of challenge.
The game currently needs a lot of work and polish, but I feel it’s definitely a good start and good learning experience for further updates and future games.
Thank you Maniac Pumpkin, I’ll try to add those changes.
Yo, do you mean back in the day when it was funner to go onto flowlab forums than actually play the games LOL
@ManiacPumpkin You already can destroy the enemies, just they have health, so you don’t immediately kill them.
When I first joined flowlab, there wasn’t nearly as many polished games as there are now. So, there was little to no variety of games to play so the forum had many members just chatting about and making discussion on projects they were actively working on. Although the community has remained rather consistent, I feel there were times when there was a lot more activity than it has been in the past few months. Probably because of school and a lot of the older members, like myself, are currently in college so it’s kind of died down a bit.
Good thing I won’t be in college for a long time.
I finally made a working leaderboard! Do any of you have any other update suggestions?
The game has gotten lots of updates since it was first made! If you suggest an idea for this game, this game could turn out even better!
i like how smooth the camera is, makes me feel like the guy from Prototype but with rizz
The camera is from JR01’s Interpolation/Lerp example
