-FOXER- Dev Log

I am in second place, I know I got a higher score, but the leaderboard is not working for me and I have also tried reloading! Is this a problem for you too @Hong_Jooni_Pooni

Huh. Yeah, this is very weird. I keep ticking the lowest score first thing off on the leaderboard behaviour but it’s not working. Also, the negatives in the expression is not working either. This should be pretty simple to resolve. I’ll do it tomorrow

The leaderboard works now!

@Teaslee @KaptainChris @JUSTPLAINOP @CodeAlpaca @DJTheWhat

What the. @CodeAlpaca how. How. How. Can you show a screen recording? Maybe we could show this game play to others in discord?

Epic! I am glad to be one of the pro players :sunglasses:

@Hong_Jooni_Pooni @CodeAlpaca I don’t know if you are able to fix Foxy, but the main problem I am having while doing this is that Foxy would randomly do his own thing for one second and that can really get you because my Foxy wandered into a spike while I had a highest score!

Whaddya mean do its own thing?

Sometimes it moves opposite of the curser for a second which could make Foxy fall and stuff which is annoying!

Passed 6000!
Yay mee!

Huh, really? It just follows the mouse so maybe it’s too responsive??

No, my mouse doesn’t move to the left of the screen unless I want it to and I can see Foxy not moving where my curser is sometimes, and it happens when Foxy is under the curser and moves right!

@Hong_Jooni_Pooni Make foxy be next to the wall and quickly move the curser away and don’t make any sudden movements and foxy will go more to the direction without you moving the curser!

Also, poll on what the title of the game should be

  • Ascension
  • Foxer
  • Spire sprint
  • Ascendent

I also noticed the Fox going the wrong way. I think this is happening due to it just barely getting passed the block, so it becomes solid while the player is still partially in it. I think what needs to be changed is having Foxer continue moving toward the mouse unless it is not at the same X. So it won’t do weird buggy movements when it reaches it, but if it gets pushed away it will go back.

It’s cause of the bounce physics, I just changed it

@CodeAlpaca @Hong_Jooni_Pooni Sorry to say, but it is still doing the same thing
