Rougelite fishing game created for the 2024 Summer Flowjam.

Hello everyone, here is the game @CodeAlpaca @Hong_Jooni_Pooni @Overma_Games and @Ben. We’ve worked very hard for the past 2 weeks making this game, so I hope you enjoy it :yellow_heart:

It says “by CodeAlpaca”, that’s just because my itch account uploaded it

“There’s a price to everything, whether that be the weapons you use, the items you buy, or the serum you spill. No such thing as a free meal on the ocean.”

HOLY SPRITESTACKS!

Literally best Spritestack on Flowlab. Like, what the heck.

Thank so glad you liked it!!! Hong made the sprite stack as well as 95% of the art within the game. The only art I did was probably the dice roll animation and some other small things. He really did a fantastic job with it, so glad to have him on the team (And Overma who was a great secondary coder + Ben who made the music for the game, he was great to work with!)

Man. I’m going to invite him to my next spritestacking competition.

Literally amazing art.

Lol. Thanks for the compliments, I literally learned how to spritestack for the flowjam and after making a test strawberry, started on the island. Just goes to show that if you have the basics of art principles down… Anything is possible

Also alpaca also did the art for the boat deck because it was physically and mentally hurting me to make something that large a resolution size and luckily alpaca came in clutch

That stack is literally amazing. The attention to detail, how many tests did it take?

I don’t know… Oh yeah I remember making a small mockup version before and then for the actual island it took me a while but I just kept improving and adding layers. I always like to plan beforehand so I already had an idea of what it should look like from reference pics
