Gravity- a game i'm working on

its just a game im working on, im just gonna use this to document secrets i make (so i dont forget them)
DAVE= type DAVE on title screen, then go into options. DAVE skin should now be available.
AMOGUS= same as DAVE but you type AMOGUS instead

its not much, just wanted to mess around with physics- its more of a playground than anything else

Options is now called Customize Your Cube, Because its all that page really does.
also, 2 new cube styles were added.
INVERTED= go into customize your cube, and select it.
SANS= type UNDERTALE on title, then go into customize.

Added a PROPER options screen. The only option so far is RETROMODE, which simply makes the game look like its being played on a old TV.
I am also implementing a SAVE system! It won’t work on the web version, but i’ll get it working for the .exe version, and possibly implement cloud saving for the web version.

so essentially how the SAVE system will work is: you do basically ANYTHING (unlock a style, beat a level, customize a setting, etc) the game will save a value to your PC, and the next time you boot up the game, it’ll read the value and set the variable accordingly! (for example, if you unlock SANS then relaunch the game, it’ll unlock SANS without you having to do anything!) Like I said earlier, it’s only gonna work on the application version, so if i release it on itch.io or anything you’ll be able to use it.

oh yeah and filters dont work on application version sooooooooooooooo you can save but no funny old TV filter :cry:

If you load in and the DAVE skin didnt reload, dont panic. It’s a bug, and i’m working on it right now.

DAVE is no longer a secret skin cause it was too buggy (idk why)

CONTROLLER SUPPORT ADDED!
you can use left stick or dpad to move, and dpad or a to jump, and the bumpers to invert/normalize gravity.
I also added a “level select” system. I’m not sure how the onscreen buttons’ll work with controller, but ill figure it out.

ONSCREEN BUTTONS NOW WORK WITH CONTROLLER!
i had to reprogram every ingame button :sob:
the only things uncompatible with controller are the unlocking of the AMOGUS and SANS outfits. you can still equip them, but you cant unlock them.

I made enemies follow you! in Level 4, there is a enemy that looks like the cube, but evil! he’s kinda like shadow mario (from 3D land, galaxy, etc) in the way that he perfectly mirrors your movements (in other words i didnt wanna make pathfinding.)
You can also customize the enemy now! i plan to make most items in this game customizable (IE crates, kill crates, etc)

It’s been a minute!
Costumes are going to have Descriptions and Abilities now, i got the gold one and the AMOGUS one working, the rest ill make over the weekend
GOLD: turns the level gold
AMOGUS: funny trail

OH- and just adding onto the post I’m replying to, I’m pretty sure saves are controlled by cookies. so if you clear your cookies i think it’ll delete your save

To celebrate i added level 5

-added GAMEBOY costume
unlocked by typing RETRO
took forever to add

-Added Saint Patricks day event! Instead of being DAVE adding the level manually (We all know how THAT went) It’s tied to your PC’s time settings. The level will unlock on saint patrick’s day!
You also get a event-exclusive outfit for the event- it’ll have a ability.
(Also you could probably just edit the time on your PC lol)
