How to make a text input trigger a switch

Working on my ID matching thing again. I’m sending a list through to see if your name is already on the list, but can’t trigger a switch that I need with a text element. Does anybody know how to trigger non-text elements with text elements?

I use “To Number” like a trigger, same with “List Count”.
