How to make the perfect slope?

Hello, I’m working on a platformer called Will’s Gambit. I want to add slopes in the game, however you can’t really stay still on them like in other platformer games. Instead, you slide down, and when moving quickly up a slope, you begin to hop a bit.


So, my question is… how do I make the perfect slope? How do I make a slope that doesn’t act like a slide, something I can stand on and won’t constantly trip on whilst going up.

Increase the friction of the slope

I wish that would work, but friction doesn’t really help in this case.
