I'm making a rhythm game now :)

I’ve just got a prototype working, but I’m excited to make a song for it!

Update:

  • Added a menu
  • Added an end song screen; counts each type of score you got
  • Added a new mode, the keyboard

Still both modes are only random notes, but I’ll add some songs in eventually lol

You have one problem:
Notes can overlap. When you click on one that may be right, the other is wrong

yeah I noticed that, I’m trying to come up with a solution but I don’t have any practical ideas…

Update:

  • Menu is much better now
  • Still need to make actual note maps

Here’s a challenge for anyone listening. Complete the “random” song without missing any notes

I think on the keyboard that instead of asl; you should do 1234, which would make more sense

Update:

  • After hours of pain, the first song is finally done
  • Timer added to show to remaining time in the song

Planned to come:

  • Beat offset option
  • Second song, most likely going to be an actual original song
  • General Options Screen
  • More “Decoration” in game level

2 years later…

Please check how old a topic is… It’s ok to revive it as long as;

  • The Original Poster is active
  • You revive it with a post relavant to the topic

I think Drafty is barely active anymore, but also reviving topics can push older irrelevant topics up and push newer ones down so please try not to revive old topics. Welcome to the forums by the way!

No, I probably won’t be continuing this project. I may create some other rhythm game in the future though
