Nicely done, the enemy isnā€™t really that advanced. It just picks the 2 lowest single cards and switches them with new ones

Thereā€™s nothing to buy yet, I havenā€™t updated the game in a while. I will one day though

Yep, itā€™s an awesome game! Much better odds than a real casino. And it works beautifully! I hope to reach that skill level some day.

Itā€™s definitely the most complicated game Iā€™ve made, but itā€™s a huge mess of behaviors

I can imagine. I am scared to click on the edit button, because I donā€™t want to overload my brain. Iā€™m still trying to figure out just the basic commands.

Yeah thatā€™s about what I imagined. Looks like the mass transit network of a small nation LOL.

VS. the most complicated thing I have created so far:

I am very newbish.

EDIT: Geez, Iā€™m glad I screencapped this, so that I could see I have a broken link. Fixed now. Not sure how or when I broke it.

An idea for your game @TGW:

Maybe, when eating different fish, it has a different effect on you.

Some make you bigger, others make you faster, or some make you have a powerup.

(also, I can give a better top down movement, since yours is kind of broken)

This game
Shark! Shark! - Intellivision Lives! - YouTube
is the main inspiration behind mine. The idea of mine is that once you eat enough fish in level 1, you advance to level 2 as a larger (and faster) fish. Meaning that you can now eat the fish that were previously bigger than you, but each level will have progressively larger and more aggressive fish.

By the time you reach level 5, youā€™ll be a large and fast fish, but youā€™ll also be getting chased by giant sharks with frickin laser beams. Well, minus the laser beams.

The movements are still a work in progress. I want each different type of sea life to move differently, to give it a ā€œlivingā€ feel.

Examples: I want some fish to move steadily back and forth. Other fish to move diagonally. Some slow, some fast. Some sporadically and randomly. Others I want to have chase the player; others I want to have flee the player. Level 1 is supposed to be relaxed and easy, with only a couple of dangers, with each level getting progressively harder with more aggressive fish. I plan to add floating jellyfish that you have to maneuver around, eels that chase the character, a very fast swordfish that darts across the screen, clam shells that randomly snap shut should you be brave enough to try to eat the meat inside, etc. And once itā€™s finished, I want to narrow down the camera angle so that you can only see part of the level at one time.

I probably shouldnā€™t have shared it so early in development, as itā€™s not meant to be in a playable state right now.

Always great to get extra feedback though, even if the game isnā€™t playable.
