Here’s my flowjam entry
Right now the only playable character is the pirate, I’m going to hopefully add two more characters before the flowjam ends
I’m working on enemies to fight right now
Pirate controls
WASD to move, Shift to sprint
Click to swing your Cutlass
Hold right click to aim your Flintlock, if you fire right after the clicking noise, the shot is more powerful
Hold Space and click to spawn a Barrel. Barrels lose HP every 2 second and explode when they “die”, causing a chain reaction with other barrels within the area.
You can have 3 barrels at a time active, and you hold three total (3 little circle under the player)
The game is going to be about killing enemies in various rooms around the player to earn gold and then coming back to the center to buy items with positive and negative attributes
Enemies will get harder the farther you are from the center, and you’ll have to pay to open the doors between rooms
Might also add mini-bosses farther out

Added a temporary mini-tutorial for anyone wanting to play the game
If anyone has any feedback about the enemies or the gameplay please let me know
Added a Pause menu to easily restart the level if you died and can’t open doors (I(ll be fixing that tomorrow)
Added a 3rd enemy type that blows up when it’s near you for too long (doesn’t do damage yet)
It only gives you gold if you kill it before it explodes, and it gives more than the other 2 enemies
Added a teleport feature to teleport back to the spawn by press B while out of combat (I’ll be adding effects for it tomorrow too)

Added difficulties, every 4th room opened increases the difficulty of the game (More, stronger enemies will spawn). Difficulty is shown under your gold in the top left corner, you can mouse over it to see it’s name
Enemies will reappear in a room if the player returns to the spawn area, so rooms can be re-entered to earn more gold
When the player dies, you lose 25% of the gold you had on you, and you leave the remaining 75% on the floor in a vase, the player can then return to the vase and break it to get their gold back
Replaced the doors to the very last room with “Boss” doors which will eventually lead to the Boss fight I have yet to make
Also starting adding the shop, the old man sitting in spawn is where you’ll be able spend gold to buy items and increase your power, you can walk up to him to open the menu
Items have been completed, only thing left to do is making a boss for the ending
The game is practically done, I added a Boss and an in-game tutorial
