“MicroDungeons” is a top-down adventure game in which you explore and fight your way through small levels, finding your way to the portal while avoiding enemies and traps.
The game has simple controls and can be played using keyboard and touch.
Notes:
Game does not have music and may be missing audio for certain objects or interactions.
Game thumbnail is underdevelopment. (I ■■■■ at thumbnails)
The game currently has 8 levels and 4 achievements at the time of posting.
Very nice work! I like the attention to detail even with the simplicity (e.g. having different outline colors for enemies vs. passive characters, having the game recognize when you do a level as a pacifist, having a mobile control option, etc).
This really feels like something that could be expanded easily, building on this foundation you already have.
Thr only feedback I think I would have is to maybe have a different animation play when you interact vs attack? It’s just a little counterintuitive to be hitting npc’s with your sword in order to interact with them, for example.
But overall, great work, and I look forward to seeing if you add more to this!
I’m going to continue adding content to the game until I run out of ideas (which won’t be soon.) As of writing this, there’s a brand-new level with a new mechanic.
I updated the NPC’s to layer over the sword attack. It’s a bit of a band-aid fix, however, as they don’t completely cover the sword object.
I appreciate your comment and the comments of the other users on this post, it joys me to see people enjoy the experience I’ve made, thank you all!
