Also @Advxolbor, put the “cursor” in the front layer. If you want to remove the janky whiteness around the options, just go to pixlr.com and look up how to use it.

W/e, but I think I’ve seen an example like this, but is there a way to show text that appears slowly on the screen?
Set up an always adding to a number, which is in turn setting the text alpha.
Or… just use an ease.
from 0
to 100
connect the output to the alpha.
