My Game Went Viral – Need Help with Android Export & Optimization

Hey everyone,

I recently made a small game in support of the student protests currently happening in Serbia. These are some of the largest peaceful protests ever, fighting for accountability and against corruption.

The game went viral in Serbia, so now there are a lot of players!

However, it’s poorly optimized, so please don’t be shocked if you check it out.
This is my first time making a game. I have some basic knowledge since I work in sound design, but I’m new to game development.

A lot of people are asking for an Android version, but when I try to export, all objects disappear. I think I might have made a mistake with naming conventions or something similar?
Additionally, I’ve noticed that objects don’t follow the Y coordinate of the character as they should.
GAme works fine on Itch.io or Windows the problem appears only on Android…

I’d really appreciate any help in fixing this issue and any general advice on how I can improve the game.

Thanks in advance!

well, maybe first try uploading it to itch? idk how you would do this.

The problem appears only on Android, Itch works fine!

If you’re having issues with exporting it might be good to just contact grazer directly (grazer is the owner and creator of flowlab)

Find his profile (like at the top of this post: New Flowlab Release: Honeydew 🍈) and click on it, then click “Message”

Hey @pax.wav - sorry for the inconvenience, I just took a look at the Android build server and it was missing an update.

I updated it and rebuilt your game, and it seems to be working correctly now as far as I can tell.

It doesn’t seem badly optimized to me, and the performance seems fine on the phone I tested, but please let us know if you’d like some assistance or guidance with optimizations.
