New Account unable to go on forums

I am trying to make a new account and everything works, but trying to access the forums fails, it immediately redirects back to my home page. Any ideas as to why and how it can be fixed?

You need to clear your browser cache & cookies. I had this problem too, and this fixed it. Do you need me to show you how to do it?

I heard about needing to verify your email? Maybe check that?

we have verify our emails now?

It’s always been like that

No, you use to be able to use whatever made up email you want, it never had had you verify it so you didn’t even need an existing email.

It’s mostly more of a login ID than anything else.

There might be a rule in place where new accounts can’t access for the forums for a short while, mostly because there have been trolls in the past who immediately create an account and bombard the forums without ever actually making a game.

for example, your brother. (sorry)

sorry ManiacPumpkin.

Well, he didn’t really troll except for one time, he had a short temper and some of the times weren’t initially his fault, but he got carried away with insults that resulted his account getting banned.

I would assume it’s this group(s) of kids who kept making accounts and posting on various discussions asking for music links, saying to “free us” or “we’re in prison” etc, mostly because they are currently in classes at a highschool. The most recent one was a group of kids posting selfie of themselves. Which were flagged or notified and removed.

So I would assume it was because of recent actions cause I was able to make a new account and join the forums right away, but this was a while ago.

yeah, fair enough. sorry for pointing your brother out. I am kinda curious how he’s doing, even though I never met him.

Well, in my case, I dont plan on making a game, but I have used it in the past and I love the community, and I am making a game(though not with flowlab) as well as music(for those who wanted to use it). I am honestly not sure if I am welcome here with these things in mind, but i figured I might give it a shot.

I’m not entirely sure on the exact guidelines, but I honestly don’t mind if you only use the forums to post development in other platforms or creative projects outside of flowlab. It may not be flowlab related, but it’s still game development and I don’t see any issue with using the flowlab forums to promote your work.

I really don’t think you’ll be kicked off or removed for not using flowlab, usually people who only come on to troll or start drama with no intention to actually work on projects are the ones removed and probably the reason why there is now a delay to join the forums. (If this is the reason and not a bug).
