Only None (Game Made of only Labels)

I’ve been occasionally working on various projects and none that I plan to complete anytime soon. Mostly been focusing on work and other stuff.

However, I recently remembered about a small project I started around 3 years ago called Label, which was a game with the sole purpose of having no physical objects in the game, just straight code and only labels. The game was rather boring with no physical gameplay involved, so instead of a slow turn-based puzzle game that the first game was headed, I decided to make this game a fast-paced shooter. Hopefully aiming for a more roguelike feel, but we’ll have to see how that will turn out.

I don’t currently have much for the new game now, but once I get the enemy movement and attacking/damage system in place, the rest of the game is just going to be copy and paste.

I don’t know if I will share frequent updates on this discussion, since I don’t know if this project will ever get finished, but I did want to share the current progress to hear any feedback or ideas. I had a lot of support behind the first one and I want to try my best to at least finish something from it.

The image and video don’t show much right now, it’s more of a test level at the moment.

This is very unique and quite a fun challenge. Is this completed or in beta?

No way Label 2

Currently just a beta right now. Still tweaking some mechanics and fixing a few minor bugs.

Once I get the core gameplay down, the rest of the game won’t take very long.

The first game was more of a proof of concept. I wanted to try to make a better game around the first idea, but use the full extent of my knowledge.

sorta like how Super Mario 128 was to show what the GameCube could do and then they made Pikmin
I think
there are plenty of other scenarios like this this was just the first one I could think of
