Open World Derendering

I was wondering, if I wanted a big open world game, But i also wanted to reduce lag, so is there any way to derender using stuff like inview and alpha?

Disabling physics objects when out of view will save on lag.


I don’t know if Alpha will reduce lag, but using inview definitely will. As Braden suggested, you could use In-View to disable/enable the physics of the stationary objects in the game. If you’re using a tilemap system, you could also use IN-View as the initial trigger for the raycasters.
