Five hours in, this is the third, and hopefully for now final, version of the Mind Clock from Sol… A lot darker than the previous interpretations.
“Billows and beams of ticking steel,
A hungry gong ticking for it’s next meal,
Frozen to the touch, chocking in the air,
All other life is starved, the land no longer fair.”
“Shadows invade after the final tick calls,
11th hour is gone, the time goes to 12,
And behind it’s giant, monstrous walls,
Do our dreams do fall and delve…”
– Excerpt from the Prophecy of the Clock by Howard Munche
This looks cool. I’ll say that this is a BIG improvement from the last two arts!
(Also, is the Mind Clock the main antagonist, or is it something else?)
@MetaNinja good to hear, I put at least twice as much detail into this version than even the last one. And as of the Mind Clock… Just know everything in Sol is symbolic of something else - an allegorical story. So I can’t give you a straightforward answer without spoiling the game, but…
It does deal with how dreams die over, well, TIME… And that Clock is ticking…
Thank you EVERYONE for yet another successful art reveal hitting 7 likes again! I’m really glad so many people (by Flowlab standards XD) have taken so much interest in the game, and I can’t wait to share more info with you guys!
Just saw that the new Mind Clock piece reached 8 hearts!!! (Thanks @grazer for giving it the final push XD) It is now the most liked post on the thread. Thank you everyone! Expect more Sol news later this week…
I already have about 70% of the main script finalized, and about 30% of the side mission scripts down, so not too far off (the main script was 100%, but side missions have called for some changes in the flow of the story.)
