A Tragic Fantasy
Our love was a story, just another fantasy
destined to end like any other tragedy
I thought it was something real,
turns out it was only a fairytale.
Just the dream of a child fool enough to believe you.
My feelings were an open book to you,
And you watched as my pages turned to flames
The ash fell like the snow when we first met.
And the flames gave a shine in your eye,
But it’s not the same as the one you had before.
I guess this is where our story ended
On the rising action at the tip of a cliff
There was no happy ending,
Just the climax to a story,
That ended like any other tragedy
More of a free-verse poem, but I like trying out different styles
