Mixels are when the pixel size of your art is inconsistent.

@ShadowGaming What do you mean by inconsistent. If I had more time I would have been able to do better, but If I really wanted to I could spend hours drawing which is why I stayed with that design, But tell me how I can improve!

By the way at 1:00 PM If I don’t show it it’s because I am in class, or if I am in class and it’s close to 1:00 PM I will just show it.

inconsistent as in the pixel size. Like in the flowlab sprite editor, you used pixel size 2, then because you thought it would benefit from more detail, you used 1 to add detail. But truthfully, this made it look a little weird and off, especially if you have other game items that are in a consistent and singular pixel size(the apple) Which is why I made the blueberry and strawberry the same-ish pixel size as your apple to complement it in game

so you are talking about how the log is weird because its bigger than all the rest?
Tell me the sprites that should be worked on? and why and I will fix them before the deadline!

Generally speaking this is right for most people but i know a few professional pixel game artists who can easily work with different pixel sizes but still make it look consistent.

(Dont take my art for reference it looks like my 1 year old hd drawn it)

It’s not the log that’s the problem here, it’s the purple berry (bottom). It looks like you make everything in 3, but then drew the berry in a smaller pixel size like 2 or 1

Edit: After taking a closer look, this seems to be the case for most of the sprites. When you’re going to make something you need to choose a pixel size and stick with it. If you keep switching it’s bound to look off

I am using the top berry. The bottom one is not needed the top is the new one.

Alright, but still. you need to either re-draw the apple in a smaller pixel size, or you need to re-draw all of them in the same size as as the apple.

Sure I guess. I got alot of time on my hands, but how do I check and know the pixel size and if it looks ok or not?

Pretty simple, just re-draw it but only use one pixel size. Don’t change it at all when working (Ex: when using the flowlab sprite editor I like using size 3, and I’ll draw the entire sprite with size 3.)

And if you have the time at the end I would recommend doing the same thing with most of the sprites. They don’t look as uncanny in comparison, but if you look closer you can see quite a lot of mixels

I already finished everything I want the game to be about and based off of, so I guess a little redesign wouldn’t hurt!

I found that the apple is 64 by 64 so do I have to make the food 64 by 64 now?
