I saw some people on flowlab create this 3D-esque aesthetic (especially Grazer’s example) and I really want to incorporate this into my game to make a sort of doom clone. How does Raycasting work and how can I recreate those graphics?
No user has been able to recreate grazer’s ability and even if they did making a functional game would be near impossible with Flowlab. Flowlab is a 2D engine and unless you’re really experienced, I don’t recommend dabbling with any big math.
If you’re pretty decent with Flowlab you can try sprite stacking, there are lots of resources here on the forums such as @sup3r87’s guide to sprite stacking.
FYI sprite stacking is when you stack multiple frames of one sprite with an overlay to make an object appear 3D.
