Do I put an ‘Always’ into the in input? (You can’t just say to a noob, "Put a trigger there and make it work.)

depends if you need it to always output out the path or not

if you want it to output when it gets selected put the selection numbers into the input

You could also connect all of the outputs to the input, so it selects and puts a input at the same time

Already done that. The router doesn’t turn off the other powers.

this would not work, selecting an output doesn’t actually output anything, it just selects the output path
