If I did a card game for my story, I would probably like the idea of a single point scaling or a system similar to it.

I wouldn’t want to make characters that reach like 10,000 points or something, but make the strongest card 250 in the game and the rest below it. Like humans are considered 1. Maybe make it the scaling similar to how decibels work. So every ten points, they’re actually double than the previous. So a 10 point is twice as much as a 9 and a 20 is twice as much as a 19, so a 20, in theory, would be four times as much as 9, making it 40. It sounds complicated, but I’m pretty sure the Decibel scale works similarly.

Although the standard point system would be used in the game normally, but for the lore, it technically gives a much larger scale using smaller numbers. So a 250 being the max would be something like 10^25 or having 25 zeroes after it. (Probably very wrong, but oh well) To represent something like a Mordil Guardian or a Cordik, it would make sense on a scale compared to a human.

Where can I find this?!

It’s just a slightly more balanced MTG. You can only have 6 creatures out at once. Other than that, it’s nearly identical.

I never said anything about a limit on how many creatures you could play, but there is some other features that would probably change to at least make it unique from MTG.
Then again I haven’t even made it or probably won’t have the time to. It’s just kind of a concept.

So far the best concept would be a single number power system. (At least used on a scale to determine exponential strength of some of the characters)
Also you can stack smaller power characters to fight larger ones, but based on the point difference, as long as there’s enough health to give to one character, they’ll survive, but the rest won’t. Like I said before, 4 SCU would be 12 points and the Ceramic Skull would be 11 so there’ll be one point left to be used to save one SCU. Although if you have 5 SCU and had 15 points. It’ll only save two, since you take the remaining points and you fully heal one character and distribute the remaining onto the next so you couldn’t split it up between 4 of them and save them. If that makes sense.

Alliance boosting or majority of cards of a set military or empire would boost those of the same alliance.

Maybe a nomad alliance where if could be a deck of throw in characters. They wouldn’t be boosted or their damage increased by other cards, but they would already have high power. (Since a lot of the nomads in the series are strong enough to survive on their own, like Mith of Mordil)

Still unsure how a cost system would be. Whether you use some sort of farm cards to generate points and use the points to summon cards, using creature sacrifices to summon larger ones, or you have to keep track of what turn it is before you can start playing larger cards. So, I’m still thinking how this would work. It could even be more than one different way since some cards could have different ways to summon them.

Wait, Deadly_Smile could make a topic where he/she (I’m not sure of their gender so I’m not taking any chances) could post the (pikmin) pokemon cards.
