For a game jam at my college, @thebrickccentric and I made a quick multiplayer game where you race away from an evil space void. It’s like Universal Crumble, but with different controls, multiplayer and more fun stuff .
I’m going to be making a video about it later today, so if you can spare three minutes please go play it and submit a score to the leaderboard! You might be able to show up on the video I post! More news later today!
I ended up getting a score of like 64 or something like that, but it only saved my first run of 16 for some reason. I also kind of wished there was currently a way to restart the game so you can run it back for a higher score easier, but other than that, it is very fun. You guys did a great job with it!
Edit: for some reason if you click on the prompt to start the game it doesn’t save your score, but it will save it, if you press R to start.
I just used WASD, made sure I was farther back and made slight movements according to oncoming debris. I think the speed caps out after like 30 or something, so once you get the hang of it, you can just go as far as you want.
I honestly think it’s just preference. I tried using mouse controls and it threw me off on my first run, but I started using WASD once I realized that was an option.
