Stuff I think is BS

Ok first off @grazer , Its kind of BS that multi player, cloud behavior, and profiler are all payed, Like, You cant even make a Snake.io game, So no wonder all the “Good” games made by free users are laggy. But Achievements, leaderboards, and touch screen stuff make sense to be Indie

Loading Screens

Ok also bull-droppings to the loading screen, Like, When i make a game I don’t want the game engine logo being every were, Like just look to the upper left part of the screen, OR if the flowlab logo “Needs” to be there put it in the bottom right, And make it ease out in stead of cutting from alpha 100 to 0 instantly.

Object limit

I would suggest increasing the limit to 80-100 min-max to allow use free users to breath without reaching the limit, But the 3 games limit makes sense.

Ways to make Indie more worth it

“Oh how is grazer supposed to make money hmm?!”
First of all, Adding a donate button, Believe me, Peaple use it, I’v seen a itch page with a dono button and it raised like $2000 In 3 days.

Add features that ease the development of games to indie and not just pick some things normal games have and put them behind a paywall, Stuff like team OP, Let the team leader select permissions for there team members.

Add blocks that ease development and some blocks that actually deserve to be indie only

Add a code blocker, It can restrict access to certain parts of code by only letting the dev/dev team access/see them.

Add ads, Not to Flowlab but put Flowlab ads on YouTube, More traction, And once you have enough maybe you can sponsor bigger coding youtubers.

Fix the ■■■■■■■ copy and paste tool

Yea believe it or not, I used my 1 curse on the copy and paste tool.
Make it snap to the size grid, This really ticks me off the most

All the other limits make sense

Features to add (Free and Indie)

A stick block (Sticks to selected entity)

More router cap (smt like 1000 outputs)

Optimization

How it this laggy:
(Spreads its self until its only consists of 9 blocks)

But this is not:
(Like… 20 blocks)

Over all a great engine but some nails sticking out of the wood in some places.

My rant Is concluded.

I agree with you dude!

You can use a physics joint or Attacher for this.

Stick On Collision, Is what I meant.

You can attach the object when it collides with the other object?

This type, But in one block, Less messy and more capabilities.

OK, so I disagree with some stuff, and maybe agree with others.

Its kind of BS that multi player, cloud behavior, and profiler are all payed,

So multiplayer and cloud saves/reads costs me literal money, out of my bank account, every time someone uses it. Not a lot (per user), but it adds up. Maybe you’re volunteering to pay these bills so that everyone can use them for free?

When i make a game I don’t want the game engine logo being every were

It’s not everywhere, it’s just where there would otherwise just be a blank space while the game loads. Is that really offensive? I thought the logo would look nicer than a black screen.

First of all, Adding a donate button, Believe me, Peaple use it, I’v seen a itch page

Saying “just make a donate button bro, people will definitely send you money” at the same time you’re saying 5 bucks a month is too expensive for you to upgrade isn’t the best argument - it kind of makes the opposite point from the one I think you’re trying to make. I totally get it if the engine and tools are not good enough for you to want to pay for, that’s fine, and that’s what the free version is there for.

Add ads, Not to Flowlab but put Flowlab ads on YouTube

I don’t understand what you’re saying here. Ads on YouTube cost money (a lot of it). I don’t like ads in general, and have considered putting them on Flowlab, but only if there was a way for developers making games using Flowlab to make money from them.

Make it snap to the size grid, This really ticks me off the most

This makes sense, can you add this as a request thread in Discord? That’s where I track and prioritize requests like this.

A stick block (Sticks to selected entity)

This is an interesting idea. Something like “stick on collide”. I’m not sure how generally useful this would be, but I love Katamari Damacy, so it sounds like a concept worth thinking about. Maybe a “stick block” isn’t the right solution exactly, but some way to make joints/attachments on collision could be useful.

Optimization

I can’t tell from the screenshots what is going on, but if you post a link to the laggy project I can take a look and possibly offer guidance.

I do always appreciate feedback and constructive criticism, so thanks for offering your thoughts :+1:

@grazer I dislike the logo on the loading screen due to its static state (Make it spin or smt so it looks better). But I never knew you had to pay each time people use the clouds or multi player, so the pricing for that makes sense now, But I still think Flowlab Needs to be optimized, The profiler needs to be on Free (Unless you need to spend money per user using it), and Indie needs to be more moneys worth (More blocks that ease dev, and more useful blocks), Which is why I haven’t bought it yet. (Btw the save block resets randomly)

A object the spawns its self 9 times is just as laggy as 20 blocks that don’t, Which makes no sense.

I also still think the 60 limit on free should be 100 or 80.

(Btw the save block resets randomly)

No it doesn’t

The save block uses a browser cookie to store the value, so if you change browsers, or computers, or use incognito mode, or clear cookies, or the browser decides to flush that particular cache for some reason, then the data will be cleared.

This is something that is up to the browser, not Flowlab

Doing anything 9 times should not be “laggy”, so there is probably something else going on here that is not immediately obvious.
