well i’m dragging it left but when i press esc it just puts me in the game view mode

Okay, I think what needs to happen is you need to have more than one block connected.
Try dragging in a whole bunch of number blocks and connecting them to each other

Hook an always to a number that outputs to a property, and in the editor while it’s running delete the number.

yea, i was messing around with my game, and the code wasnt working, so i was deleting my code and this showed up. pretty sure its just a visual glitch because nothing happened to the editor or my game after that, i just continued what i was doing

Yeah, you might want to copy the code before you try it, I did it earlier and it didn’t mess anything up but it still might be a good idea.
