The first official flowjam only happened in 2019-> 2020! 
There were two other unofficial flowjams that came before which were hosted/created by me, as a community event.
Things worked a little different back then (no voting and I asked grazer if he wanted to be the winner judge), but it all happened here on the forums!
Thereās threads and links here in the forums if you search for flowjam #1 or flowjam 2020. (And all the games that were made for those)
Grazer then wanted to make it official by making an event built into the website 
and thatās how flowjams started

Thereās two flowjams a year. One in the summer and one in the winter.

Having people play your game will help you greatly understand if your game is understandable or if it has any major issues that might make people unable to play your game (is your tutorial clear enough?). And have fun!
