I’m starting work on a racing game, but with 3d effects!
The game will be in first person, and that’s about as much as I have so far lol
It’s gonna take a while to get something playable, but I’ll post updates as I make progress

You should make a video explaining how the 3D effect works, I would really like to learn about it.

This is genuinely insane! I love it! Literally adding a whole new perspective to flowlab lol. Too bad the raycasts make it so laggy

I’ve made a lot of progress on overlaying sprites! I think I need just one more equation to finalize it

I might try making one sometime

Very well done so far! Can’t wait to see someone try to make an actual game out of these, ngl

If you want to learn more about it, looking up “Wolfenstein” is helpful. Or even just looking up “ray casting 2d to 3d”

Excellent potential and idea!

Just an idea, but it might be cool to see the hood of the car, that way you feel like you’re in the car a little more

I was picturing just the hood or the hood and some of the insides like the steering wheel, mph, etc (like the example you showed)

I highly doubt any one would have a video for flowlab.io though

Update:
added working cones
movement system is more like a car now, I’ll probably tweak it more later on
full loop of a racetrack is complete
I think I’ll probably add more ui, a boost pad, and a timer soon
as well as some decorations
