just to clarify you mean that it’s a 3d ish game with 4 dimensions you can go to like a minecraft dimension? i wouldn’t count that as 7d, just a 3d game with 4 worlds

Gonna be honest, I don’t see anyone actually making a game based on the 7th dimension, unless it’s going to be some insane fever dream or something, the human eye couldn’t perceive what is even happening.

Plus it’s all based on theories and such so basing it on anything you might hear probably isn’t correct anyway, since I don’t think there’ll ever be a perfect representation of the 7th dimension.

i don’t want to have to explain the same thing over & over again because you all forget it after 5 minutes. if you’re trying to whine about my project,check what i’ve been saying! look at the devlogs! at least bring up new points that haven’t been mentioned.

the sprites for the trees are now 3D

I want the 7D Wanderer bosses to be eldritch lovecraftian horrors beyond our comprehension with sick as heII music that starts to sound more dire and hopeless as it goes on. my plan for what the true final boss could be is quite strange but it does involve the destruction of the world so that’s cool

Devlog:

  • Graphics have been updated so they are meant to look 3D
  • 3D button added at the top. Could be changed to do something else to mimic the 3rd dimension more but for now it just resets the dimensions
  • 4th dimension can fully be controlled using the 3D & 4D buttons. This only works on 4D trees right now but as more objects get added the more you can control.
  • New 5th & 7th dimension graphics. The old ones were ripped from my old game, Slightly 7D Game & were slightly inaccurate to the 5th & 7th dimension and could cause confusion. I knew what they meant but others might misinterpret them like i did once.

Will spritestacking exist in the game because I have a feeling that spritestacking could give a more 3D feel.

If i learn it,perhaps. If sprite stacking means it’s also going to be split into multiple objects i only have a limited amount so maybe not. There’s always a possibility,maybe after development for everything else is over.

what were you expecting?? the sprites are literal trash and flowlab’s sprite editor only lets you work with a limited space.

why do you keep coming back to this topic? there’s really no point

you… you do know you can expand the sizing of the sprite… right?

my brain is fried reading this
i’m about 100% convinced this guy saw “4D miner” and decided to try one-upping that by employing a concept that literally isn’t physically or technically possible, then 3 times over
this is your own circus with a full audience

update:
so to what i’m gathering he’s trying to refer to just literal “realm” dimensions? like Minecraft’s End and Nether? now i kind of get the concept he’s going for, but not a wise choice to coin geometric terms for dimensions to describe those, in a community full of programmers where we’re already well aware these things aren’t a possibility
