Overma Game Jam

Welcome to the Overma Game Jam!
These game jams are like normal ones, but with a twist!
Every jam, there is going to be some kind of element that you cant or have to use! The element could be certain behaviors, or certain objects. There could be **multiple elements that can’t be used as well.

General Rules

  • Can not be an old game.
  • Teams are allowed.
  • Certain elements of the game can be required or not allowed.
  • Rules may vary depending on the jam.
  • Judges will be appointed for the jam. Maximum of three judges.
  • Judging Criteria is as follows;
    – Art
    – Game Playability
    – Sound
    – Controlls
  • Judges must be honest, and list thier opinion on each Judging Criteria.
  • It is ok to quit the jam. (Please don’t though!)
  • Judges are allowed to enter, just not judge thier own game!
  • The community is allowed to add rewards, or perks, to the jam.
  • It is allowed to use sprites from other sources as well. Like itch.io.

So lets get jamming!

First of all, we need to appoint judges! The max of judges is three judges. Each judge will be randomly picked. If you would like a chance to judge, fill out the poll below!

Ok, with that out of the way, we can begin to discuss the jam!
The theme is…

Outer Space!

Now, as I said before, there are requirements!

The requirements are…

No spawners can be used!

This will be interesting! Also, no emits can be used either!

There will not be a reward, except bragging rights. The community is allowed to add rewards, or special perks if they want to.

The jam will start today!

If you want to and are allowed to do so, you could create another Gmail/Google account to sign up for a second Flowlab account. If you do this though, make sure that you remember both of your Google emails and passwords or you will end up like somebody I used to know who can’t edit any of his original 3 games anymore.

Nah, I am not allowed add a new to Google account.

I just won’t join, but that’s OK because I am busy working one of my games.

Well, I do not have discord. I might make a private chat for the judges to discuss the games though, and then give the final opinion on the topic.
