SOL will be back in-development once BLUE SKY is back in a place we like. This will probably we a week or two since we won’t be working as heavily on it. After, back to SOL:D

Learned a lot this jam, will definitely benefit this project!

NOTE: A more finished, edited, and polished version of BLUE SKY will be posted here when it is ready. There is also plans of a pre-release trailer, so you will be ready for its full release. Cheers!

I wouldn’t go around exclaiming if users are online or not. Since it’s technically off topic and doesn’t relate to the discussion at hand.
A lot of users are usually busy so it’s best you don’t disturb them, but if you had a legit question about their topic, then feel free to ask, but I wouldn’t just go around starting unrelated conversations.

PLYMOUTH ENTERTAINMENT - AUGUST GOAL

Hello! It has been a hot minute, hasn’t it?

We’re still here, just working here and there with whatever time allows. Will also note that progress will slow down with college, but I am still planning to do one video update per month, including this one! This one will be a little different, though.

This is the process of the final steps for Blue Sky, at least this current version of the project:

  1. Finalize testing, polishing, etc. (we are very close in this stage)
  2. Develop a trailer for the project (this will be the one video for this month)
  3. Release the project on Itch for more eyes to see.

Blue Sky was a ton of fun to develop, but also a huge pain, so it’s nice to see it finishing up. If we were to continue this into a more complete game, we would do a lot differently and pre-plan a lot more of the systems.

Will keep you updated when the Blue Sky trailer drops and when it is released on Itch.

SOL - SMALL UPDATE; MOSTLY FIXES :wrench:

Hello! Been another hefty week. College started up and it was a busy week:/ But made some progress on SOL, and @Crigence is working on the BLUE SKY trailer and bug fixes for a more polished post-release update.

  1. I keep on re-fixing the speed attack - once more, with passion. I think this time it seems a lot more solid and also inadvertently fixed another issue, so that’s another plus.
  2. Adjusted some of movement values of the player character.
  3. Reworked the grass particle FX system - looks a lot smoother, and utilizes the new eases (it was running off of the old ones for a while now)

That’s all for now. The next video, for this month, for the YouTube channel, will be the BLUE SKY trailer, so no SOL update log this month (since it has been mostly BLUE SKY this month anyways).

More to come, and hopefully I’ll get more time to work on more stuff!

NEW FREE TRACK - “Elevator to No Place”

Small tune I worked up with a little bit of free time. Went for a eerie, but calming elevator tune. Not sure what you could use this for - ambience, menus, credits, I dunno. Anyways, enjoy!

SOL - MINOR UPDATE - DUMMY IS FINISHED! :100:

This is a small update, as per usual with college going on. SOL’s dummy enemies are 100% complete! Just needed some particles to wrap up its death function. There is plans for drops from enemies, from health to energy systems, but there needs to be more systems in place before I can get to those things.

I am almost done with this semester of college, so expect more progress about 3 weeks from now - also, the BLUE SKY trailer is still in progress by @Crigence , who is also busy a lot. We all busy bees, but progress is progress and we get done what we can.

Also… It’s been 15 days since I posted that last track??? It feels like 3 days ago at most, sheesh.

I noticed that this tread was very inactive lately, so I’ll revive it with a quick poll: How interested would you be in seeing a full BLUE SKY game release some day – One with multiple episodes and a runtime in the hours? Mind you: This is merely a hypothetical. RC and I have discussed it, but no plans are set at this point in time. I just wanna gauge public interest in it.

Also: Sorry about the slow progress on the BLUE SKY trailer. I’ve been a little bit depressed and demotivated lately, so progress on everything I am working on is very slow. Everything that goes down must come up, though, so hopefully I’ll feel ready to work on projects very soon.
