Concepts for both Bubble Ruin and Jellybean Joyride (ACT 1) have been made. Both have at least 1 minute of gameplay at the very least!

Also, I think I need to set some formats for critiques and suggestions, for better reports of bugs, and to clearly state your suggestions. You aren’t required to use these… but I’d like it if you can. It helps me easily pinpoint what you want, or what you’re noticing that needs fixed, so I can efficiently and effectively deliver on it.

BUG FIXES


Game issues should be worded clearly. Tell me what input you’re giving, and then tell me what the player ends up doing. Try to add as much detail as possible. Less than one sentence of feedback isn’t enough for me to know exactly what to do.

Performance issues are tougher to determine. If you want to report performance issues, you’re going to need to tell me a few things.

  • What device are you using?
  • Do you have any type of Power-Saving mode on?
  • What all do you have open on your device?

Most of the time, performance issues are on the user-end, and shouldn’t be reported here. Plus, measures have already been taken to ensure a smooth framerate in this game, such as simplifying overcomplicated code, and using separate levels for acts. So make sure you check everything else before coming and reporting it here.

If you have criticisms about the art, music, or anything else, PLEASE word it in the most respectful way you can. Many times, people don’t consider the amount of work that goes into making this big of a product. Adding disrespect on top of that just discourages my team and I. For example, instead of saying “This music is weird.” (Which sounds VERY insulting.) say “I think the music could improve by (insert suggestion here)”. Explaining what you don’t like about something in a respectful way allows me to understand what exactly you want out of this.

In summary, keep comments respectful and relevant, and use detail in your suggestions and reports! It helps a lot, and it lets me know exactly what you want fixed, changed, or added.
If it’s something as simple as adding a life system, it’s fine, but try to make any other complicated suggestions more detailed, using these guidelines.

(DISCLAIMER: This was not meant to be harmful or to point fingers at anybody. I am simply trying to create guidelines and suggestions for how to word things. I have a hard time understanding requests that aren’t very detailed.)

How do you get the animation to be so smooth?

Which ones? The players, or any others?

Anything. It all looks smooth, though I may be wrong as I need to play the new updates

@Geo_The_Hedgehog why do you have a jumpscare part of the og sonic flow’d up? is that there as a reference to sonic.exe?

and of course you have the fun is infinite thing in it too, thanks a lot… now I’m going to have nightmares for 3 days!

It’s… not a reference to Sonic.EXE. It’s supposed to just be a more unsettling version of the Majin screen from Sonic CD. I don’t like Sonic.EXE and its community, it is largely overrated. I just wanted to do something spooky for SFU’s halloween update.

You dont have to like the sonic.exe community to not like the games or fan art. Like one last round or rewrite

oh that makes more sense I was just jumping to conclusions and I agree sonic.exe is overrated

plus I was playing at 10:00 at night so yeah

I should check the Majin Sonic reference in this game, PLUS I agree with Sonic.exe being overrated as there are too many other fan-games of it (Ex: Sonic.EYX, Sonic.exe spirits of heck) Some of them are pretty good though.
