The Scepter Foundation - Refraction

Another thing I forgot to mention was that there’ll be a max of up to 3 submissions per participant. So you can make multiple entries, but it also helps to keep the submissions narrow for the grading period.

For those who wish to make existing characters.
The SCU are described as wearing white armor with black visors, but usually differ in shape depending on the battalion or rank.
Green insignias are for High Chieftains.
Red is for Heavy Containment officers
Blue and white are basic, blue are just basic officers.
Black insignias are field agents or black and red insignias are usually high officers or specialists.
Full black suits are the Death’s Row company. Basically the most lethal.

For Foremakers, most usually have medieval or fantasy based armor with hardly any headwear and a majority of them have four arms. You can even create your own Foremaker and ability if you want.

Entites or Subjects range from literally anything to nothing. As long as it’s something with an abnormal ability then it counts.

New Caben Elites, such as Orion, are basically just powerful hunters and bounty hunters. They don’t really wear similar attire, but all carry the Cabenus Pendant which is a depiction of an eye. They are a range of species and creatures so they can also be anything.

These are just some basic ideas if you needed some description on basic identities.

(I’m gonna be posted the same exact thing on here as I posted in the discord server so for those who aren’t on the server can see as well.)

There are currently a total of 3 different alternate realities where one is often represented many times throughout the series and Justin Hawk and the Foremaker of Strength end up time jumping into.

But Justin Hawk is the only living being in the current universe to actually visit the other.

The Foremaker before him, Foremaker of Absolute Darkness managed to harness a strange ability that’s unknown of how and Justin managed to inherit as well.

The other world is called the Refraction. Or titled as -A27B14GH7 by the Bridge of Indefinite. A massive infinitely large megastructure that ties the realities together. It has the power to create entire realities or destroy them, but any knowledge is only theory and even the Foremakers and the beings beyond don’t know if it’s existence, if it even does.

Refraction is a reality where no light is ever shed. No energy can even be produced to make light visible. The world is described as an exact copy of our own, only it is made up of large crystal-like structures and are inhabited by dangerous unknown beings that aren’t bound by a physical form, only visual.

Justin Hawk can use his ability to temporarily drift into the other world. Allowing his physical form to be altered to nothing, making all physical objects pass through as if he didn’t exist, but he still can be seen. With timed transitions, he can still fight without ever being hit back in the current world, but he’s vulnerable in the other world as even the power of reality or light doesn’t have the same effect in such a strange lifeless world.

“Things are unable to be explained, why such monsters and abilities exist. Things outside our world act differently here, just as we don’t belong there as well. Things outside of their borders tend to have effects on the reality around it. The rules of nature you know don’t matter anymore.”

I’d join the contest, but since I’m new to flow lab, I have missed out on most of it’s lore. Is there a way I can find a summary of the whole thing, since it seems like a lot for a newbie like me to handle.

I have a summary somewhere above, I’ll have to find it and repost it. It’s kind of a lot, but it’s a very rough summary.

For anyone who wants to make an existing character:

Forgive me

So you have the Foremakers.
Most of them usually have medieval or fantasy based armor, and most have four arms. Although this can change If the Foremaker trait is passed down to other beings.

Cabenus only has two arms, six eyes (two columns) and wears like a pearl gold armor, but no helmet. Cabenus wasn’t a pure Foremaker, his ability was passed down to him by Cabenicus who had a similar appearance but had no visible mouth and had four arms.

Spiratus, Foremaker of Dreams looks kind of like this:

Summary

Hawk (not Justin Hawk) Foremaker of Absolute Darkness:

Summary

Voidhicus looks similar to that, but has four arms and a different head sculpt.

And Forgicaft is a mechanical looking Foremaker who has appendages on his back and he’s actually larger than most Foremakers which are only around 2-3 meters tall, but he’s like 10 or something around there.

Summary

That’s just a quick rundown of some of the more popular Foremakers. I’m about to go to Church this morning so I’ll have to explain on the Elites, Chaos militia, SCU, and some others.

New Caben Elites: (Good Guys)
Orion, an unidentified being who usually wears a standard suit and tie and has a star shaped head with a row of grinning teeth, but doesn’t have any visible eyes. The Commander of his Squad in the Elites.

Thanatos, basically the grim reaper modified. He had a dark colored cloak and hood that reveals his face, but where is face should be constantly reveals quick flashes of images usually showing skeleton faces or the faces of the dead. His hood can be removed to find a strange shaped skull as his face as he appears to look already dead, but clearly alive. His hands are gloved in leather, but his bear hand can dissolve and decay just about anything.

The Magician is basically wearing a more decorated suit and tie, but has a top hat that covers his eyes and he has a more humanoid grin, but has sharp teeth. He usually carries a deck of cards that are made up of an unknown material and when thrown at correct conditions can pierce just about any materials.

Crystal Gaurdine is a humanoid entity who has dragon features. Her home world was called Jkher before it was destroyed by Solacis, the Foremaker of Light and his army. Orion had found her as a child and took her in to learn the combat and protection of the Elites. Her dragon features include horns on her head alongside a pair of wings on her back and a red lizard tail. Her forearms are covered in red scales, but underneath still appear to be human skin, like the rest of her body. She has the ability to manipulate fire and existing flames, but due to the fact that she can’t maintain her body temperature, the flames she produces are cursed and don’t have any effects on her unless they are burning other fuel sources. So she can’t even feel its heat unless it’s burning something else.

Tocar, the Violinist. Tocar isn’t apart of Orion’s group, but the guardian of Cabenus, Foremaker of Sight. She usually wears something similar to a Victorian era suit alongside wearing a custom mask over her face to hide it. She also carries her violin that when bowed, it can release waves of air that can cut through most objects.

The Clockmaker is an automaton that was eventually captured on Earth and contained at Site: 012. He is basically a steam punk robot with gears and clockworks, but usually has the appearance of an aristocrat with a nice vintage suit (mostly from the 1900’s era) with a monocle over his left eye. His also has quite the mustache, even though its wound from thin copper wire.

The Chaos Militia (Bad guys)
Subject: 000, Unknown
Foremaker of Chaos, Unknown
Necra, a female human who was taken from Earth at a young age and developed the ability to reanimate corpses of any deceased being. Her appearance hasn’t been clearly explains as she hasn’t made an encounter yet, but she wears a dark cloak with a skull mask over her face.
That’s about the only thought-out character that’s memorable. I have a few more, but they haven’t even been referenced once or anything.

Scepter Foundation
Herrick Lawrence and Dr. [Redacted], the first two founders of the Foundation.
Johnathon Lawrence, Grandson of Herrick and the current CEO of the Foundation. Overseer of Site 12 and all containment procedures done by the Foundation. Wears a standard suit and tie and has a goatee. About in his middle 50s.
Earl Wystan was the overseer of Site: 6 who had hosted the Wystan Program for illegal mutations on volunteering soldiers to become abnormal entities. It used Subject: 010 which granted abilities to the user. He was about in his 30s at the time, but is around his 40s current day.
Thats about the only two main overseers out of the seven that contribute to the story.
Alexander Odell is an SCU officer that then became the High Cheiftain of Site: 012.
Justin Hawk was an SCU soldier under Site: 006 before be became a 10-B.
Jack Melton was from the first short story I wrote on about the Foundation series where he lead an SCU containment group up in alaska to find the Ceramic Skull. Sadly was killed off.
Cal Lawrence was a new addition. This is the nephew of Johnathon Lawrence who my friend actually created for out dnd campaign. He came in contact with a strange artifact of an unknown empire that acts like a suit of armor and gives him inhuman strength, alongside other powerful abilities.

Subject: 010-A (Artificial vessels)
These were robots or artificial vessels placed inside of Subject: 010 that were granted abnormal abilities. The only major few is Monitor and Soundboard. Monitor has a thin build with armor plates around his joints and has a dome for his head that has a 360 view on his world. Basically has inhuman sniping abilities and can hit any target at any range.
Soundboard is a robot with speakers across his body and on his hands. He can use the air waves to dissolve objects and level entire cities. The noise alone can kill anyone with normal hearing up to 50 meters.

Subject: 10-B are the human Volunteers.
Justin Hawk, the main character, was actually killed inside the machine, but was revived by the Foremaker of Darkness and he inherited it’s ability. Basically can become a shadow and be unable to be hit by physical objects.
Brad is another 10-B, and he will play a major part of the story, but not much is explained for him.
Emilia can create illusions and apparitions around her.
Those are the more important 10-Bs, there are several more.

Subjects:
Subject: 002, The Starving Mass. Basically a ball of meat and liquified bone that eats organic life. Created in the game, Flee for one of the flowjams.
Subject: 003 is the Titanius. A massive 6 kilometer tall mechanical being powered by a dwarf star. One of many star titans there are. Ironeus is a dead one on the surface of mars and Magnus being an 8 kilometer tall titan that was deployed to fight Titanius, but lost.
Subject: 007, one of the first entities I had made. Basically just an antique table with a drawer than when an item is placed inside, it’ll be replaced by something at random in a 300 meter radius. As long as it can fit in the drawer.
Subject: 009, The Ceramic Skull. The very first entity I had made and the most iconic one. Basically its body is like a skeleton covered in a thick dark acidic substance that can melt through anything, but it’s head is a ceramic skull with an unhuman shape and enlarged jaw.
Subject: 11, The Bloodknight, created by DWGAMESMASTER and is basically a suit of living meat armor that gives you resistance to most lethal hits and substances, but can’t be worn for too long or it starts bounding itself to your skin.
Subject: 12, Material. A creature made up of a dark liquid and can take the shape of any item the victim desires to lure them closer, then strangles them. Forgive me as I have forgotten the user that created this entity, I’ll have to look for it on the forums.
Subject: 017, Algiophobia. A strange psychological being that has a body made up of dark television static and has an old vintage box tv for his head. Haunts those who are in fear of pain.
Subject: 021, Moonwanders. Basically a dark blue fungus that can grow and animate either robot or human vessels into a hivemind zombie. Highly dangerous, but can only be truly killed by UV rays.
Subject: 026, Amalgamations of War, This entity is a psychological horror that only affects soldiers who suffer from PTSD or severe mental illness from combat. They experience major hallucinations that are described as diseased “soldiers standing everywhere.” When asked to draw a picture, many refused and some immediately went into a panic attack even remembering the horrors. The few that managed showed humanoid soldiers that had gear on, such as gas masks, helmets, ect, but the gear was actually merged into the body. One example showed a trench soldier with a gasmask, the single filter mask was the mouth and the eyeless skull pears from the broken visor. The M1 Garand it equipped was merged up into its arm and off its elbow, like the entire forearm was mostly the gun with muscle and bone fragments grown up around it. That was just the only detailed one that could be easily described. The rest were unknown and much worse.
Molic was an entity created by Teaslee, and has the ability to turn matter into other kinds of matter. Like turn water into stone or change the chemical makeup of existing materials. I’m not sure what the appearance actually is, you’ll have to ask her because I forgot, lol.

This is a minor list of the more iconic characters and I know it’s very long. I had to narrow it down to just the major characters that are apart of the current story.

I recommend that you attempt your own design or character as it will help add to the variety, plus I can add to the already 120+ characters I have, lol. I don’t want anyone to feel limited or that they have to draw an existing character of the story. I want everyone to be creative.

Also as a reminder, the contest won’t start until tomorrow at noon (12pm EST), but again, I can’t really check for that, so please don’t submit a drawing today or I’ll probably void it, submissions open during the time the event is open so don’t submit anything until tomorrow. Also up to 3 submissions per user and I didn’t explain this as I’m sure none of you would do it, but keep the art clean. No inappropriate or NSFW kind of stuff. Blood and slight gore could be allowed, but you’ll have to at least censor the submission if that’s the case, but I don’t think anyone participating would go too extreme with it.

Monitor

Soundboard

Yeah they have a humanoid resemblance, but some of them don’t, like Ruination is more a ton of construction equipment merged together, but generally, most of them are.

Yeah go for it. I highly recommend that you go for your own.
