Consider adding more block variety, you use the same building blocks throughout all the levels
That’s kinda the point though.
I’m currently adding designs to the walls, they will be rare though
no please don’t.
bruh
No offense but they look awful.
They just don’t fit in at all.
They look worn and torn. Maybe I should decrease the commonality of the wear and tear patterns…
Yeah I agree. I’m changing them now. Simple cracks look way better tbh.
No I mean they just don’t fit the vibe of the game at all.
You think the government is going to let people ruin the city THEY own?
Yeah I’m removing it
The Memes button is gone and its not in Options
Can we give the impersonator a red helmet? I can draw/animate it to perfectly match the sprite
Nah, I think it’s fine as is.
Aw bruh. I get it and I am inclined to agree. However, I very strongly suggest the inclusion of another cube species boss (whether bonus, secret, normal, or otherwise) so that it can be colored red and given a blue helmet. This is because the blue bladed axe you gave to the impersonator (which I have no qualms about, because it is awesome) inspired me to make a cube boss that references Optimus Prime. I am thinking of making a cube boss whose appearance is a fun easter egg. Maybe the impersonators were a squad and their leader’s color scheme and/or design paid homage to the one of the greatest leaders of all time. Also if you choose to accept the new cube boss idea it should have an orange energy axe instead of a blue one.
On a separate note, I would once again like to bring up giant mechs and how we can add them to the game after the demo.
In a later game maybe, Cubes are meant to be kinda rare.
Oh well. CubeTales: Sparks of War though is supposed to have at least 4 cubes on the antagonist’s side, as victims of a sentience-stripping experiment. The Sierra level in that game has a framed photgraph in the level that provides lore and foreshadowing for 3 additional bosses after the one in the Sierra level. Ngl, the whole photo-lore thing was a brilliant idea, I should use that for all my games (and bring it back for CT3 as well). Since CubeTales 3 is so futuristic, maybe the frames would be holographic or hard-light or something.
Wait, is the impersonator in that game and this one the same cube? Was SoW retconned?
You nuked all the levels in SOW wdym.
Nah Sierra and the lore is still there, my bombs were focused on your Crimson ambitions only.
The Impersonator is another R-series robot. they can change their appearance to confuse their enemies.
So it’s different. Nice. Also, I just looked at the Frost Blossom, and while it is well-drawn and sprited, the design of the robot itself just doesn’t click for me. It looks like a block with a wide top; it also resembles Gamougg’s Botdrone in Taile Gamougg 4 (the Zimmeron Botdrone). While that and this are good designs/shapes, Frost Blossom’s current design simply doesn’t feel like it matches its name. When I think of the words “Frost Blossom”, I think of something like an icy flower. When you pick a cool name for a robot/machine, it makes sense to sort of give the design it has fit with the name. I do not wish to throw this design away, I simply would like to suggest that Frost Blossom be a name for a more suitable robot. Don’t be afraid to make up words when coming up with robot names, remember that this is fiction. Unreality does not have to mean silliness.
Back to the Impersonator, I wonder if there will be more cubes in this game. Will they be enemies or allies? Will the enemy cubes all be Impersonators? Will CT3 have any more cubes at all? I wonder. Also I hope that Cecilia still has her innocent girlish charm like her characterization that I gave her, unless you have some good character development planned. I am still capable of writing serious stories and can help you if you want or need me to.
