There were a few problems that we either didnāt get around to fixing, or had a great deal of trouble trying to fix.
-hitting things at high speeds will cause the playerās aim towards the cursor to be skewed by a set amount of degrees. This has to do with the orbit bundle and not the screenshake, strangely enough. Hit the monolith or the map walls at a slow speed to fix.
-wubbing toggle in the main menu doesnāt work for the game. I implemeneted the functionality for it, but for some reason itās not working inside the actual game. Will have to fix when voting is over.
What are yāalls best runs? I managed to beat the game on the secret hardest difficulty, but Iām pretty experienced at physics games in general. Interested to see how far yāall got.
I already said everything I needed to say on the summer jam discussion, so Iāll be talking here about envoyās future:
Nothing!
Envoy was a fun project to LEARN by doing. There was stuff like spritestacking and diagonal UI that I had NO experience with prior. I definitely think I learnt a lot by doing it, and I canāt wait to use this knowledge in the future!!
Envoy has one problem with the wubbing setting but thatās all that is getting fixed. I really want to get back to work on my longer term project. But if you have any feedback Iād be happy to hear it, since Iāve been thinking about adjusting enemy speed based on difficulty!
I was gonna see if the game had controller support but it does not :(
If it DID have controller support I could try this game on my steamdeck. Then it would be awesomer
Your controller type shouldnāt really matter, all controllers buttons are designed pretty similarly. If itās a standard Xbox, PS, or a dozen other options it should be alright.
For this game you just need to Left control stick which all controllers have, then 5 buttons. Iām assuming all controllers have 4 back buttons, but if not you can just use the buttons on the front of the controller.
The controls are pretty basic so there should be no worry about it, even with an older controller.
All 4 of the buttons on the back of a controller have binds on Flowlab, Iāve done some controller things and they all seemed to work fine.
Also @sup3r87 donāt you have a Switch? I think youāre able to connect that to your computer. Or at least thatās what I think it says on the example on the Examples Page
unfortunately itās a switch lite, so no it canāt connect to the computer I am concerned about feel, not functionality. If I ever add controller binds to any of my games, I will do it with a proper controller so I can make sure the game feels good before sending it off.
