Also I probably won’t be able to work on the game or character creations for the next few days cause I’ll be helping Mebslime and AbstractGallery with Serenity: Toucan Play since it releases on the first of April.

No it doesn’t have anything to do with indie. It’s a game that mebslime made and added us to it. So we work together on there.
As far as indie goes, I do plan on getting it, but only when I need to add more to the game or to export it. So far it seems good.

Nice! I read the first half in Top 15’s’ voice, and the second half in They Will Kill You’s voice. Both of these are YouTubers with instantly recognizable and seemingly unintentionally overly dramatic voices.

do those soldier guys have drip? what kind of drip do they have canonically in the lore?
Canonically speaking, they just have a thermal insulated suit that protects their skin from radioactive and acidic substances that would be harmful upon physical interaction. Then white panels of armor is placed on top of the suit to help protect the person from impacts, projectiles, and blades. So if they get scratched or attacked by an entity, they aren’t likely to take damage as much.
Except some powerful entities, like Subject: 009 can still melt their armor and thermal suit, but it’s a precaution against most other entities.
As far as drip goes I can’t really say they have anything since it’s just Foundation Attire that they are registered to wear when at the site.

It’s been a little bit so I figured I’m gonna drop some lore.
First off I haven’t worked on the game itself in a bit. Mostly because I’ve been super busy with irl stuff, but I do promise that I’ll get to it sometime.
Alright, now for the lore.
You all know who Subject: 003 is, right? (Those who are active on this discussion). Let’s just say that there isn’t just one.
Site: 008, which is the head research and location on strange anomalous beings that exist not in our world, but also others.
A head astronomer was studying a cataclysmic event that happened in a galaxy millions of light years away to study or locate a possible gateway that allows anomalous beings into our world.
But what he did find was another entity very similar to Subject: 003, but he is much bigger. The size is currently unknown since Site: 003 doesn’t have the correct instruments to tell a proportionate size of something so far away, but it’s estimated that the head alone is much larger than earth.
This entity appears to be dead or dormant and all that’s left of it is it’s head, which is connected to what looks like a spinal column. Part of the right should is still intact along with the arm, but it also has a second shoulder underneath of the right one showing that this entity had a most of four total arms. The rest of the body is missing including a right arm, both left arms, the lower torso and everything below that.
This entity goes by the nickname of Celestius.
Although the sudden emergence of this entity isn’t surprising, but the horrifying idea behind what was powerful enough to kill something larger than our very planet.
The Titanius and Celestius aren’t the only ones since a single finger was found on Mars as the rover scouted the surface. The finger was still connected to the body, but it seemed that everything is buried below the surface, but only the phalange was visible. By the mere size and estimation, it seems that the possible entity on Mars is a lot smaller than Titanius at roughly around 1 km tall, but it’s an approximate.
That’s enough lore drop.
I probably won’t have much to post on here with spring break in progress so there might be a bit of a gap before I start working on the game or posting on this discussion.
But if you guys still have ideas, concepts, or questions, feel free to still ask. I just won’t be able to see them until the evening times or whenever I get the chance.
I got a little time to work on the game, but I didn’t get much done.
I updated the sparks for the menu because I was bored and after working in a metal factory environment all week, I started to get a better idea on how sparks behave and look.
I also started working on item sprites and I got the medkit and a gas mask done. I haven’t thought of anything else to add that would really benefit or add gameplay to the game.
I could add a life vest and maybe a riot shield, but the only entities it would even protect you from could still go through it.
I also have deciding to add a pistol, because there will be a specific entity ghat will be a pain to get around without it so I did decide to have that. Other than that, it won’t have much of a use except for distractions or to stun entities.
I want to have an item that can give you regeneration, but also have a negative effect if you have it equipped for too long. SCP already has a ring and a locket that does a similar thing.
So want to use something original, but it must be a common article of jewelry or clothing that you can wear that gives off a regenerating effect. I have decided not to add a health bar to be realistic. So by regeneration, if your bleeding, it will slowly stop after a minute and you will be completely fine, or something like that.
Maybe an item that makes you invincible and you physically can’t take damage or die, but I feel having this would be broken and would make the game unenjoyable. It would have to have a serious counter effect to balance it out, but I’m not sure. Maybe like a pill that gives a temporary effect, but I’m not sure.
I also want to include an item that either gives you infinite stamina or makes you run a little faster for a little bit longer duration with a faster stamina recharge. I could easily make like a pair of shoes or something that does this, but it would probably be a bit cheesy.
Now what @DWGAMEMASTER explained as being the blood knight. I could add it as like a living armor that a user could put on and it grants immunity to a lot of different effects. But it could slowly grow around your body, connecting your flesh to it and controlling your mind. That way you are forced to take it off after wearing it for a while.
I think this is what kind of entity you suggested, but this is a concept.
If I do add armor like a bucket proof vest, shield, or the blood armor, it would be way to heavy to carry so you could only equip it as clothing, or just drop it somewhere. That way you don’t carry the blood armor everywhere and only equip it when you are being attacked.
You can also only equip one at a time, and there will be equip slots that’s invisible. Such as equipping armor as if there was a slot, but it only shows that it’s equipped in your inventory so equipping it takes inventory space. Same with blood armor and a shield. So you can’t stack the armor on and be a god or something.
Also the same thing with helmets or possibly shoes as well, you can equip them, but it takes one of your five inventory slots. But the shoes and helmet you can carry in your inventory and don’t have them equipped. The helmet will give you a blurry screen like the gas mask would so you don’t have to have it equipped the whole time, only when there’s a gas leak or something.
I thought if maybe adding a backpack or some sort of item that increases inventory space, but i don’t even know how the inventory system would work, and how I could possible make it add more space during the game. So this would be a mere concept than future feature.
Anyway, that’s my rant on the inventory struggle so far. Let me know if you have any ideas on items or possible suggestions you would like to see in the game.
