The Scepter Foundation - Refraction

Most of the Foremakers are made to resemble cubic like shapes. Such as Spiratus’ armor, the pyramid torso for the Premaker of Mind. Mostly to show they had originated from a single being.
Although I’m still learning to draw humans as well, which are gonna be way more complex than just simple shapes.

I hadn’t thought of it before, but I may try to advance into other geometric shapes. I’ve been trying to keep everything simple as I’m still trying to get better at this drawing thing, but it wouldn’t hurt to try new.

I also have a charcoal pencil I would like to use sometime. My art class offered it to me when I tried different medians, but the class ended early because of Covid so I never was able to return it, alongside mu set of pencils and various other art supplies. I felt bad, but at least it’s not going to waste.

Also, shading is relative, remember that

Just realized that this sounds obnoxious, what I meant was, you should not focus on different pencils for shading, get a shading tool, it is guaranteed to boost your skill level.

Hey @ManiacPumpkin, what is this topic for? I don’t see any game stuff.

ooooh… i want a charcoal pencil so bad

look up blud, its a game who has been in development since long befor you showed up

That’s what I used to do. I only used my mechanical pencil.

That’s probably my downfall is that I try hard getting sharp objects using a very thin point of my mechanical pencil, but you can’t really shade with it, so that’s why I’ve been experimenting with other types of lead.
I’ve been using 6H for a basic outline since it hides really well, and using my mechanical pencil for the outline and then using whatever pencil at my disposal for shading. Most of it is just experimenting, but I’m more just exposing character concepts on paper than worrying about the art aspect itself, but I’m thankful for the feedback so I know what to aim for.

Another downside I that I’m too afraid to draw dark. Most of my pieces are very light, so I avoid most of the B leads because of this. Maybe I should do a couple very rough sketches to get the hang of it.

Also when you draw, do you normally place an outline first? Or just start on it at the beginning? I’ve been trying to use outlines for most of my current drawings to help experiment with different ideas before I decide on one.

i layer my pencils like paint, with each layer i add darker daker darker it gets

Just draw lightly and go over in dark at the end?

yes, thats exactley what you do

It was originally created for my current game project, The Site: 012 Incident, but I’ve actually grown pretty bored over the project and I’ve also had hardly any time to work on it, so I’ve been working on the story part of it. The game itself is but a mere event of hundreds that take place.

I’ve just been dropping lore drops and concepts for my book series I’ve been writing. The first is New Caben, which is currently 230 some pages. It still needs a lot of editing.

The second book I plan to start soon is Magnus Falling.

Can’t wait to draw this.

I have an app where I can create AI generated art, and it helps give me different ideas.

That looks like Power Rangers/Halo/Star Wars.

Not sure if you’re in my discord server or not, but here is a concept I started and messed up on.

I’m not really focusing on shading anymore, just a 3D view of something. Which my experience on Cad and Modeling that’s why my drawings are so bland and geometrical because that’s just what I’m used to.

Anyway after messing up on the helmet, I realized I don’t like the visor look on it since it just looks like a motorcycle helmet. Maybe this could work for a pilot or vehicle operator, but as a standard facility guard, it looks odd.

I may stick to the tall T visor the guards in the game have, since it is more iconic and just overall looks more like a combat soldier than a Harley rider.

“Solacis never had waged war against the people of Jkher and nor did he find war suitable in any proper cause. He planned to have his life surrendered to the Foremaker of Law to extinguish the Foremaker beings from our world. They never were supposed to be here or to rule.
On Jkher, the people had allied alongside Solacis to help free their world of the Cabenican Empire and the rest of the Council, but shortly after his departure for other matters, the Elites had stormed the world and rid the lives many. Only a few manages to escapes, and it seemed Orion had taken a child from the planet when he was corrupted by the lies.
It seems a pretty large bounty was placed upon my father’s head of the incident, at least enough for you to take his life, but it seems you were lied to as well. I am Doemek, son of Solacis and I seek your aid.”

This is very cool. Keep it up!

Although Foremakers can’t have children unless they were another species and inherited the ability, Solacis was a pure Foremaker and adopted Doemek as his son so one day inherit his position as Foremaker, but after hearing out the Foremaker of Law’s plan, he swore against it and helped to aid his plan to remove the Foremakers, cause even he, wondered why they were so more powerful than the natives of the worlds.

Sadly it’s just a concept, I’m gonna redraw the helmet design with a better visor. I thought it was turning out well, until I realized how unproportional I made the face part of the helmet compared to the rest.
