The Scepter Foundation - Refraction

Here is another concept I may end up sticking with. Looks pretty cool and there’s enough blank space on the sides and top to add insignias and designated colors for different ranks. If anyone would like to download the image and color it for yourself. Feel free. I plan on copying the image on paper a few times to mess around with different insignias for High Chieftain, heavy containment, and the DeathsRow battalion.

Here’s the updated look. This is the standard SCU Facility Guard.

Nice! Ever tried drawing a temporary light source? It really helps with shading.

For drawings that are usually outside, I’ll have a rough sketch of the sun to help with shading, but for the most part, like the helmet, I don’t really use it much since I already know the geometry pretty well.
I may still try it out a few times.

Since I’m not the best with shading, I draw a temporary light source and, after the drawing is done, I look at the whole page to see if it’s accurate. Your shading’s pretty good!

Thanks. I think I’m decent enough at where what parts are shaded or have shadows, but I still need to work on the actual shading itself.
It was like 3am when I was close to finishing so I ended up getting very impatient, lol.

You have to get sleep!

Yeah, it happens to mee a lot. I rush it, and it doesn’t come out the way I wanted it to.

bro you draw better then me be happy

It’s not that I’m not happy, I just know I could always do better. I try not to compare my work with others, but I try to draw the best that I possibly can. Even if I’m not happy how it turns out.

So it’s not like I’m competing against anyone else, I’m competing against myself.

I may start working on some more drawings. Are there any characters specifically anyone would like to see done?

There’s quite a big list, but I still haven’t drew many of the Elites myself, although some users drew a pretty good version of the Magician and the Clock Maker.

I just now realized of another character I had made a while ago called Tavion the Time Keep who was another mechanical automaton similar to the clockmaker but had some minor powers in time control. Such as being able to travel back by 10 seconds or temporarily pause time itself.
They both are somewhat related to the Foremaker of Time and the clockwork appearance of the Architect. So I may end up tying something together about it.

I would request a character but I don’t really know that many

Yeah, I haven’t had the time to scroll up and read the lore.

The Foremakers have been extinguished for quite some time. Although my power still remains, even as everything went to plan. Something about my Father, being equivalent as a Foremaker himself, had kept my power of darkness. When I wave my hand, the illusion of reality folds forth.
My time of defending the worlds and the many after it are coming to a close. I chose you to inherit my power. I feel it only threatens myself and my family.
Icharng is coming. It seems Eldern wasn’t the only one. It wasn’t my Foremaker strength that ended Eldern, but it was something else. And I believe it was from Mordil.

Mordil?

Mordil is an ancient civilization and empire way before the Foremakers, but collapsed over time. The only remaining member is a nomad named Mith of Mordil. Although not much is known about him.

But it seems the powers that Mordil was able to make still exists.

If you don’t want to be spoiled, then avoid, but this is basically a rough summary with some concept ideas.

For those who read

Eldern, also titled as the Carpenter had created many versions of himself as the Foremakers. It is unknown where he had came from, or when he had arrived near the known cosmos, but he was definitely from somewhere else. And it seems there are many more.

A rift had appeared near the year 1908. It is unclear who had built the rings, but it was a gateway between worlds. Not even the Foremakers knew the owner, but only figured out how to turn them on. It was only the first step.

The Scepter Foundation was founded in the early 1900s shortly after the rift as strange anomalies had started to occur. Entities in the shape of other beings and relics started to appear everywhere at random.

The living Foremakers had colonized and claimed territories, presenting their power and ruling the many empires of the known cosmos. Although as different behaviors interact, they all aimed for similar goals. The council was then constructed from several Foremakers, including Cabenicus, soon Cabenus.

Cabenus and his Elites noticed a large megastructure drifting near the edge of the cosmos. After sending the Dawn’s Harvest and only a few returned, it has awakened the sphere, step 2.

There was a presence on Earth that had attracted so much attention. Many of the Foremakers didn’t notice, but Subject: 000 specifically sought a relic that was on Earth. The Council knew of such a relic, but because of their unbalanced strength of the new world, they never bothered, but Subject: 000 sought it, not for strength, but for end.

Justin Hawk was then accepted into the military for a few years before being drafted into the SCU. After being based at Site: 006, he was later involved in the Wystan Program. Using Subject: 010, a machine created by Dr. Kain Ester from a future world, he was killed, but was reborn by the Foremaker of Absolute Darkness, along with another strange ability, something even older than the Foremakers.

After the Site: 006 Purge and the termination of all personnel, Earl Wystan had sealed Subject: 010 and himself inside of a large hidden structure underneath Site: 006.

Forgicaft, had sent Titanius to Earth thousands of years ago to look for the relic, but Titanius saw it’s purpose and refuses to retrieve it, as he couldn’t.
Forgicaft then sent Magnus to devoid Earths surface of life and retrieve the artifact.

Justin Hawk escaped the Foundation with major head trauma and lost his memory. Living 2 years under a Foundation rehab center with a dead soldiers name, he realizes who he was and escaped before he was found out. He later joined the Elites who had been soldiers of Cabenus. After a mission to kill Solacis who later was found not guilty of the crimes he was titled with, Hawk became the Foremaker of Day and Night.

After training he successfully killed Subject: 000.

“You must know, you are being lied to. The true enemy isn’t as you see it, but disguised as a friend. The world is broken, and there’s only one way to fix it. To return it to how it was before.” - Subject: 000

Site: 006 has remained silent for a year until a powerful entity had emerged from the hidden structure underneath and the Foremaker of Strength was revived.

Justin Hawk then lived on Earth with another Elite for another year before Magnus was then noted. While preparing for the fight, Scribe, a new enemy had appeared and had seen Hawk as the enemy.

“You know not what of you do. But there is a key on this planet that can return the world as it was before. Fixing the damages we have caused.” - Scribe

Hawk and the Foremaker of Strength had fought and killed Scribe and were suddenly jumped 500 years into the future by the Premaker of Time.

After Titanius had vaporizes Magnus out of orbit, a familiar 10-A had befriended the Foremaker of War who secretly lead the Order Corps. A riving Foundation against the Scepter Foundation who seeked not only the monopolized use of entities to aid in warfare, but also for the relic as well.

Subject: 10-A-49 killed the Foremaker of War and became a Foremaker himself. Even though he was a sentient AI, he had evolved beyond that. He became Trenchmaker.
With the help of Cabenus, he had used the rift to get to the Forge and kill Forgicaft, making him the Foremaker of Mechanical war.

A year later, Hawk and the Foremaker of Strength (who is also a human) had returned back to their normal time. After witnesses a dystopian world ruled by the Order Corps and the council of Foremakers, he knew that was the enemy.

They lost their Foremaker abilities alongside the Foremaker of Strength and they eventually came across Cal Lawrence. Overseer Johnathon Lawrence’s Nephew who came across a strange Mordil Artifact that became a sentient armor around his body. They allied together to fight the corrupt Elites as a civil war then broke out on New Caben alongside many of the other empires. They had all been lied to.

The rebellion, lead by Orion, had fought back against the Foremakers rule. As The Foremaker of Chaos (Law) had finally showed himself as an army of 10 individuals. Excluding Scribe and Subject: 000. Alongside his Chaos generals had allied alongside the rebels on New Caben.

As the Scepter Foundation fought against the Order on Earth, Hawk eventually found the relic on an ancient structure that was underneath of Mount Everest. A large mechanical fortress underground built by the Perfectionists, a race as old as Mordil who had encounter Throlmak, a previous being like Eldern who had attempted to rule an Empire in the past before being removed.
Hawk found the relic and it was a key, step 3.
With the help of Orion, they stole a vessel off of the collapsed New Caben and traveled to the Architect. A large sphere that was a vault.

Upon surfacing, the Guardians were awaiting. The very mechanical cities that had killed many Elites in the past, but they cowered at the relic.
After being let in, Hawk used the relic on the structure as a hundred rift rings had appeared all around the Architect.
Once the relic was accepted, large vessels started to break through the surface of the planet as many of the silo doors were weathered down by asteroids. The large ships were then distributed into the rifts.

“What’s going on out there? The whole empire’s in shambles!” Cabenus shouted as he overlooked his window to find large machines firing against one other. The people on the streets fighting each other.
“What did you plan all along? How long did you think you would fool the Elites?” Tocar, Cabenus’ most powerful Elite asked. “I had trusted and protected you, yet the council was all lies!”
She prepared her violin and before she could even release a note, he was dead. Cabenus had swiped his hand across the air and she fell silent.
He overlooked his window to find a large copper colored vessel break through the atmosphere and hit the surface.
“What other nation came to their aid now?” He completely removed his wall and slide down the side of the building.

Xactepticus, the Foremaker of Law and his 9 other bodies had awaited on Earth as a copper colored vessel had hit the surface.
“It seems he had done it. Eldern is no more.” He crosses his arms and looked up into the starry sky as his other copies did the same.
A large mechanical army had emerged from the vessel. Soon the Foremaker of Law was removed.

Cabenus had reached the street below the capital as Elites were fighting and killing each other.
“It seems we have won.” The Magician has said as he finishes throwing a metal card straight through the head of an enemy Elite. He turned to Cabenus who looked across the street to view the damage. Bodies had littered the capital steps as the militia was broken. Large flying vessels were shot out the sky and one landed into the side of the capital. “The Perfectionists were awakened by Hawk. Your very pupil has betrayed you, like you had done us.”
Before he could speak again he fell silent as his head was immediately removed by Cabenus.
The mechanical army has started approaching from the horizon.
“I’m the Premaker of Sight, you can’t possibly…” two of his four eyes were blasted by a heated bolt as the army charged. He gripped his sword and kept toe to toe with the soldiers, but they picked him apart quicker than he could keep up, soon the Premaker of Sight was removed.

Hawk remained on the Architect with Orion.

The council was immediately disbanded and within a months time, the Foremakers were then removed. Eldern was killed. The remaining army of the Architect had turned into brass statues in place the moment the last Foremaker had died.

This is a huge concept that kind of applies the overall story. Although a majority of what you know is based on Earth and Justin’s view but this is basically what is going on most of the time. This still doesn’t account for the many stories about individuals Elites, Foremakers, entities, and even the Ceramic Skull who I plan to have contributed quite a lot to the story.

I mentioned something about the Perfectionists a while ago which was a concept of a group who wanted to rid the world of Eldern because of the Foremakers unfair power and their malicious intent, but I never implemented them until now.

This is cool.

I thought there could only be 1 human foremaker?

There can be more than one Foremaker that’s a human. The Foremaker of Darkness before Justin Hawk was also a human.

Here is a very rough sketch for Johnathon Lawrence, Overseer of Site: 012. His body is kind of wonky, but I spent most of the time trying to organize the face so this is merely a concept. Not too happy with the design, but it’s a start.

I’m still not finished with it, but I thought about starting over and work primarily on just his face and head sculpt since that is what makes the character memorable. Plus I forgot to put the scepter logo on his right arm.
