Wilder's Creation - Updates and Announcements

It was called this: Wilder’s Creation (Janury 1st 2021 “New Years” Build)
I don’t know if that’s the full version but amazing job anyways!

Ahh that explains it. That was a build from January 1st (hence the name) so it was not the finished product. I sent that to testers to help with finding bugs and glitches while I kept working on the game.

This is a real relief to me XD

Lol, It looked finished to me!

Also do you sell your games for money on itch, or just for free?

For free. I don’t think I’ve made anything really worth spending money on yet lol

Wilders Creation has been added as the latest featured game as well. I haven’t actually had time to play through the whole thing yet, but I’ve seen enough to know that it should be featured

Great work @Greggo!

hey, I noticed the “game art did not load correctly” error in your game. You’ll have to change some stuff with any objects that have turned completely red. the one i found was called
“(music) behold the mansion” I think that is the object causing this error.

Yeah, it said the same thing for me, but the game ran perfectly fine. So I don’t think it’s a necessity.

Anyway I really love the game. I played it yesterday for the first time and I didn’t have enough time to say anything, but I’m here now. Anyway I didn’t get too far into the game, but from what I’ve seen its a very polished game and I really love the pumpkin character, lol. Kinda reminds me of someone on the forums, lol.

yah, the game works fine, but the error is a bit annoying, from what i remember, i think you just need to change the sprite, but it hasn’t happened to me for a long time.

and ya, the game is great! I like everything about it!

Thanks @F3Art and @ManiacPumpkin! I’m so glad you guys like the game. I’ll be sure to check out the game art error as soon as I can but I’m really focused on the Flowjam right now.

For those who want an in-depth analysis on this games charms and quirks, you can read my review for it here:

@Crigence thank you so much for the review! I’m really glad you like it! There are some bugs that you mentioned that I am definitely aware of like the lack of friction in the first few stages (which by the way that is on Flowlab because the downloaded version doesn’t have that glitch). I hope to address your concerns in an update but I can’t work on it until after the Flowjam being as I am participating in it.

But don’t worry, I’ll be sure to work on the jukebox controls, cutscene clarifications, and a number of other issues you’ve brought to my attention. Thanks again for taking the time to write up a review that honestly made my day!

MILESTONE REACHED!!!

Wilder’s Creation has officially passed 1,000 plays in less than 2 weeks! I’m so happy to know the game is doing well. It probably helped that I’ve been sending it to Flowlab reviewers XD

Like what you said, the reviewers helped, XD.

i have an idea for this game, there can be a special skeleton that you can come across, and when you destroy it, it can give you health, etc.

oooh there should be boss battles too!

The skeleton idea is really neat! I had considered a way to regain health but I thought the levels were short and thus a health regenerative was unnecessary being as you got full health when you beat a level.

As for the boss battle idea…there are already 5 boss encounters in the game unless something went wrong. Thanks for feedback, though!

no problem! i was maybe thinking you can interact with npc’s and they can join you on your journey? just an idea.

Interesting idea I may save for a sequel
